Prescription Plus Discount Program

The Prescription Plus Discount Program is open to any Muskegon County resident (age 18 and over) currently without prescription coverage. For an annual non-refundable cost of $20 per person, participants receive a discount card, pharmacy directory, and savings off regular prices on brand-name and generic drugs, vision exams, glasses and contact lenses, medical equipment, diabetes supplies, and hearing exams.

Commonly Asked Questions

  Q: What if I already have other insurance?
  A: You cannot use both your insurance and this card at the same time. This card can be used for prescriptions, vision, hearing and medical equipment or diabeteic supplies not covered by your insurance. This card cannot be used to cover co-pays.
     
  Q: What if I have signed up for Medicare Part D?
  A: This card can be used during the "donut hole" time. The time when you don't have coverage with Medicare Part D because you have reached your limit.
     
  Q: If I lose my card do I have to pay a replacement fee?
  A:

No, you can receive a new card at no charge.

     
  Q: Can this card be used anywhere in the United States?
  A:

Most major chains participate with this program, but it's always a good idea to check before using it.

     
  Q: How long is this card good for?
  A: This card is good for a year from the month you signed up. Approximately 1 month before your coverage expires, you will receive information on how to renew your card.
