Testing is provided for gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis and HIV. Herpes can be tested for if a genital sore is present. You must be age 13 or older. No parental consent is necessary. Testing is confidential. Free condoms are provided for clients.
Testing Fees
If you have health insurance, please visit your doctor's office for testing so that your insurance can be billed for this service. If you prefer to use our office instead of your insurance, you will be charged any applicable fees (see schedule below). Payment is expected at the time of service.
If you have Medicaid, we can bill Medicaid for your testing and treatment. Please visit our office and bring your Medicaid card with you. You could also visit your doctor's office for testing and treatment.
If you do not have health insurance, please visit our office. You will be asked to pay as much as you can towards any applicable fees.
HIV testing is provided at no charge.

Treatment
Treatment of these infections is provided after diagnosis. Treatment can also be given to those who are a contact to Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Syphilis, and Trichmoniasis, if proper documentation (proof) is presented.

Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccine
Female clients checked for STDs are assessed for HPV vaccine. The Health Department has a limited supply of HPV vaccine available at no charge to women who qualify. For more information, please visit the HPV vaccine section of this site.
Hepatitis B Vaccine
All clients checked for STDs are assessed for their hepatitis B status. Clients may qualify to receive free hepatitis B vaccines if they are determined to be at "high risk." A client is "high risk" if he/she meets one or more of the following:

Less than 25 years of age regardless of insurance status

Household and/or sexual contact of infected persons
- Persons with chronic liver disease
- Immigrants or refugees from countries where HBV infection is endemic

Intravenous drug users

Persons with multiple sexual partners

Prostitutes
- Persons diagnosed with a recently acquired sexually transmitted disease

Hemodialysis patients
- Men who have sex with men

Recipients of certain blood products
- Individuals who have tested positive for hepatitis C
Clients will be referred to the immunization clinic for the vaccine.
