ServSafe® is a nationally recognized certification program through the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation.
This class is designed for Food Service Managers, Directors, Chefs, Kitchen Managers, Dietitians and Dietary Managers.
The ServSafe® program provides accurate, up-to-date information for all levels of employees on all aspects of handling food, from receiving and storing, to preparing and serving; information you and your employees need to be a part of a successful food safety team.
ServSafe® Training
Each year, millions of people contract foodborne illnesses. According to the CDC, an estimated 76 million people will get foodborne illness this year, and 5 thousand of those will die. Effective assessments of food preparation safety practices and risk factors can prevent most of these dangerous illnesses from occurring.

The Muskegon County Health Department is offering a ServSafe® Class that covers topics such as Potentially Hazardous Foods, Pathogens, Foodborne Illnesses, Food Handling, Personal Hygiene, HACCP, Cleaning and Sanitizing, Pest Control and Food Safety Regulations and Standards.
